Remember when...?

I'm struggling with my relationship with ✨Social Media✨ at the moment. It reminded me of a time 20 or so years ago where Blogs were king. I had several that I followed religiously. Two Frog Home and Cake Wrecks are the first two to come to my mind.

I appreciate social media for some of the connections it offers...but it's devouring a lot of my time and mental energy. There's got to be a tipping point somewhere. At some point the benefit I receive from social media is no longer going to outweigh the negative impact. I'm not sure when that will be.

In the meantime, I attempt to fathom what steps in to take it's place and the closest I can come is the idea of Blogs and email. And email has become this behemoth of unrelenting spam that seems impossible to conquer.

I know Patreon and Substack are places gaining ground with creatives. I'm under the assumption that both are "pay to play" for the most part and I'd like to stay free in regards to community and communication.

As I continue to move gently through 2025, I'm trying to find balance and figure it all out. If you have any other ideas for connecting, let me know!
